Age Of Hunting Deluxe Edition is a re-issue of 狩猟の時代 (Shuryou no Jidai) with new artwork and upgraded components. It includes extra components and rules to enable two players. However, the publisher states that gamers with the original game would need the expansion set 狩猟の時代~大河の恵み~ (Shuryo no Jidai~Taiga no Megumi~) instead.

The worker placement gameplay remains the same, with prehistoric people trying to develop their settlements.
